Trevor is an experienced deal maker having spent more than a decade in Washington, D.C. as a policy advisor in the United States Senate and House of Representatives. As a subject matter expert in natural resources and public lands policy, Trevor helped shepherd several landmark legislative victories through congress and into law. No small feat in a notoriously gridlocked Washington.
The key to Trevor’s success is relationship building. Connecting stakeholders, identifying shared interests and opportunities, and delivering value have helped him earn the trust needed to close a deal when it really matters. He brings the negotiating skills he honed on Capitol Hill to the real estate profession in Raleigh where he works alongside his father-in-law, Nelson Bunn Sr., who has more than 37 years of experience in North Carolina real estate.
Originally from Arizona, Trevor likes to say he’s always been a southerner at heart, perhaps just a little more south-by-southwest. With the dual advantages of having deep family ties in North Carolina as well as the experience of choosing Raleigh as the best place to relocate his career, Trevor uniquely understands the many attributes that draw individuals, families and businesses to the Triangle area and keep them here for generations. He uses this distinctive experience to accomplish his clients’ real estate goals by bringing buyers and sellers together in a way that maximizes value to all parties.
Trevor earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a Master’s degree in Russian and Eurasian Studies from the European University at Saint Petersburg, Russia. He and his husband Nelson Jr. live in the Five Points area of Raleigh with their dog Winston and enjoy the breweries, cafés and parks the neighborhood has to offer.
